॥ Śrī devī khadgamalarchanam ॥
This is more or less a mini version of navavarana pūja without involving elaborate procedures and in particular establishing arghya vessels. Though this cannot be a replacement for regular navavarana pūja, yet it pleases different śakti-s in Śri Chakra. Perfection attained in doing this as Archana will enable us to understand all the śakti-s of Śri Chakra, which will be of great help while doing navavarana pūja. There are fifteen versions of khadgamala, corresponding to fifteen lunar days (tithi-s) and fifteen aksara-s of Pañchadaśī mantra. Khadgamala is based on a number of aksara-s in each of these versions. Similarly, dhyana verses, rsi and chandas differ according to the lunar day and the aksara. What is given here is śuddha śakti namonta mala, which is generally used for Archana.

1. Ṛsyadi nyasaḥ:

asya śrīsuddha śakti namonta mala mahamantrasya
payvindriyadhisthayi mitraditya rsaye namaḥ ।

usnihcandase namaḥ – bhogada ekara bhattaraka pithasthita ekavīra kameśvaraṅga nilayayai ekala lalita maha bhattarakayai devatayai namaḥ ॥

aiṁ bījaṁ – klīṁ śaktiḥ – sauḥ kīlakaṁ – padukasiddhau viniyogaḥ ॥

2.Karanyasaḥ:

raṁ – aṅgusthabhyam namaḥ » use both the index fingers and run them on both the thumbs.
hrīṁ – tarjanībhyaṁ namaḥ » use both the thumbs and run them on both the index fingers.
hrūṁ – madhyamabhyaṁ namaḥ » both the thumbs on the middle fingers.
hraṁ – anamikabhyaṁ namaḥ » both the thumbs on the ring fingers.
hrīṁ – kanisthīkabhyaṁ namaḥ » both the thumbs on the little fingers.
hrūṁ – karatalakaraprsthabhyaṁ namaḥ » open both the palms; run the opened palms of the right hand on the front and back sides of the left palm and repeat the same for the other palm.

3. Hrdayadi nyasaḥ:

hraṁ – hrdayaya namaḥ » open index, middle and ring fingers of the right hand and place them on the heart chakra.
hrīṁ – śirase svaha » open middle and ring fingers of the right hand and touch the top of the forehead.
hrūṁ – śikhayai vasat – open the right thumb and touch the back of the head. This is the point where tuft is kept.
hraṁ – kavacaya huṁ » cross both the hands and run the fully opened palms from shoulders to fingertips.
hrīṁ – netratrayaya vausat » open the index, middle and ring fingers of the right hand; touch both the eyes using index and ring fingers and touch the point between the two eyebrows (ajña chakra) with the middle finger.
astraya phat ॥
bhūrbhuvassuvaromiti digbandhaḥ ॥

4. Dhyanam:

tadrśaṁ padukayugma mapnoti tava bhaktiman ।
yadakramana matrena ksana tribhuvanakramaḥ

5. Pañcapūja:

laṁ – prthivyatmikayai gandhaṁ samarpayami।
haṁ – akaśatmikayai puspaiḥ pūjayami।
yaṁ – vayvatmikayai dhūpamaghrapayami।
raṁ – agnyatmikayai dīpaṁ darśayami ।
vaṁ amrtatmikayai amrtaṁ mahanaivedyaṁ nivedayami ।
saṁ – sarvatmikayai sarvopacara pūjam samarpayami।
